Cynthia grew up in Archbold, Ohio (where no one knew what modern dance
was) and has lived in North Carolina for more than 15 years. She holds
a BBA in accounting from The University of Toledo and a MS from
Eastern Michigan University.
Sarah Tondu | Director of Performances

Sarah Tondu received her BA and MFA in dance from Mills College
in Oakland, California. Previously Sarah served as Director of School Administration, ADF House Manager, and Performances Intern.
Dean Jeffrey | Director of Archives and Preservation

Dean has lived in North Carolina for over twenty years and holds a master's
degree in Library Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel
Hill. He joined the ADF in May 2006.
Nicolle Wasserman | Director of School Administration

Prior to settling in Durham, Nicolle spent her life residing in New York City, New Jersey, Virginia and England. She received her BFA in Dance and Choreography from Virginia Commonwealth University. Nicolle joined the ADF staff in 2006.
Ryan Patrick Smith | Director of Development

Ryan holds a master's degree in Theological Studies from Duke University. Prior to joining the ADF in December 2009, Ryan worked in non-profit development for The Child & Family Network Centers in Washington, DC and the AjA Project in San Diego, CA.
Monica Barco | Graphic Designer

Monica received a BFA in Visual Communications with a concentration
in Graphic Design from American InterContinental University. Before joining the ADF Staff in 2006 as the Graphic & Web Designer, Monica
was a wedding photographer & album designer and also worked as the Graphic Design and Production Assistant at the Raleigh Chamber of Commerce.
Gaspard Louis | Director of Creative Movement

Gaspard Louis was born in Haiti and moved to New Jersey at the age of 13. He received a BFA from Montclair State University and continued his dance studies on scholarship at Gus Giordano's in Chicago and Nikolais/Louis Dance Lab in New York. He has danced with Pilobolus, Shirley Mordine and Company, and AllNations Dance. Gaspard formed is own company, Gaspard&Dancers in 2009, and is proud to have it based in Durham. He is currently directing ADF's year-round creative movement outreach program which offers free dance classes to youth in the community. He believes all children should have the opportunity to be introduced to dance. One of Gaspard's proudest accomplishments was having the opportunity to teach his native language Haitian Creole at Duke University.
Kate Kyle | Development Associate

Kate received her BFA in modern dance performance and choreography from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2000. After living in Seattle, WA, Kate returned home to North Carolina and has been a performer with several regional modern dance companies, including a tour in Portugal for the International Dance Platform in Lisbon. She has also been an independent artist and choreographer, working collaboratively with composers, video artists, poets, and photographers. Prior to joining the ADF in 2009, Kate worked in Development at the Ackland Art Museum in Chapel Hill.
Myra Scibetta | Marketing & Audience Services Associate

Myra Scibetta grew up in Asheville, North Carolina, and received a BA in Dance Studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Since graduating she has assisted various artists and dance companies, including Martha Clarke as she reset her 1984 work, Garden of Earthly Delights, at the 2007 ADF, and assisted the producers of its Off-Broadway production in 2008. She has been coming to the ADF in various capacities since 2003 and enjoys integrating her passion for both marketing and modern dance.
Gini Sowards | Office Manager/Executive Assistant

Virginia grew up in Durham, NC. She attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where she received her BA in dance and minor in business administration and information systems management in 2008. While in Greensboro, Virginia danced for world known choreographer B.J. Sullivan, and was a principle dancer for the Cyrus Art Production dance company. Before returning to Durham to work with the ADF, Ms. Sowards was a teacher in Greensboro.
Corin Kane | Communications & Marketing Associate

Corin received her Bachelor of Arts in Dance from UNC Greensboro in 2008. Upon graduating, she worked as the Program Director for the NC Dance Project for over 2 years, while also teaching at various Triad studios and schools. Corin also serves as the Secretary for the NC Dance Alliance.

Jeffery Bullock | Director of the Hollins University/American Dance Festival MFA Program

Jeffery N. Bullock performed with the North Carolina Dance Theater, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Pittsburgh Ballet Theater, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago and Sharir+Bustamante Danceworks. He has been a faculty member at the American Dance Festival since 1998, teaching in the ADF Six Week School and Young Dancers School. He earned his MFA in Dance from the University of Iowa; taught at the University of Texas at Austin, the University of Iowa and joined the Hollins University Dance Department in 2004; becoming Chair in Fall 2009 and Director of the HU/ADF MFA Program in Fall 2010.
Lisa Labrado | National Press Representative

Lisa Labrado is a senior strategist and a media relations expert with more than 15 years of experience managing key accounts including Walmart; McDonald's; Proctor & Gamble brands The Art of Shaving and Braun; Johnson & Johnson brands Zyrtec and Benadryl; the Rubin Museum of Art; FAO Schwarz and Alicia Keys' charity, Keep a Child Alive. Additionally, she worked as in-house publicist for luxury jewelers including Harry Winston, Asprey and Jacob & Co. She is currently the Director of Communications for the Paul Taylor Dance Company.
