Cynthia grew up in Archbold, Ohio (where no one knew what modern dance was) and has lived in North Carolina for more than 15 years. She holds a BBA in accounting from The University of Toledo and a MS from Eastern Michigan University.

Sarah Tondu | Director of Performances and Community Relations

Sarah Tondu received her BA and MFA in dance from Mills College in Oakland, California. Previously Sarah served as Director of School Administration, ADF House Manager, and Performances Intern.

Dean Jeffrey | Director of Archives and Preservation

Dean has lived in North Carolina for over twenty years and holds a master's degree in Library Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He joined the ADF in May 2006.

David B. Byrd | Director of Marketing & Communications

Originally from Raleigh, David received his BA degree in Drama at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro prior to earning a Master of Fine Arts degree in Theatre Management from the Yale School of Drama. Before joining the ADF staff in December 2008, David most recently held positions at Triad Stage in Greensboro, Yale Repertory Theatre and the Guthrie Theater.

Nicolle Wasserman | Director of School Administration and Student Affairs

Nicolle grew up in New York City and New Jersey. In 2005 she received a BFA in Dance and Choreography from Virginia Commonwealth University. After spending a year living in Europe, she returned to NYC in 2006 and joined the staff of ADF as the Executive Assistant. In October 2007, she moved to Durham, NC to continue working at the ADF as the Director of School Administration and Student Affairs.

Monica Barco | Graphic & Web Designer

Monica received a BFA in Visual Communications with a concentration in Graphic Design from American InterContinental University. She was a wedding photographer and assistant for 3 years prior to joining the ADF staff as the Graphic & Web Designer in September of 2006.

Tarsha Kelley | Finance Assistant

Tarsha is a Durham native and in 1996 she received her BBA from North Carolina Central University. Working at ADF allows Tarsha to be surrounded by two of her passions. . . accounting and dance.

Jill Guyton | Office Manager/Executive Assistant

Jill Guyton received her BA in dance and BS in Business from Meredith College in Raleigh, NC. She has lived in the Triangle for several years. After being a student at the six week school in 2007, she is very excited to be a part of the staff at ADF.

Kate Kyle | Development Associate

Kate received her BFA in modern dance performance and choreography from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2000. After living in Seattle, WA, Kate returned home to North Carolina and has been a performer with several regional modern dance companies, including a tour in Portugal for the International Dance Platform in Lisbon. She has also been an independent artist and choreographer, working collaboratively with composers, video artists, poets, and photographers. Prior to joining the ADF, Kate worked in Development at the Ackland Art Museum in Chapel Hill.

Laura Frank | Executive Assistant

Laura grew up in Long Island, NY and received her BFA in Dance from The College at Brockport State University of New York. She has also studied abroad in London, England at Middlesex University. Prior to joining the ADF, Laura worked for the State University of New York Summer School of the Arts (NYSSSA) School of Dance.
