Every June and July we host over 60 modern dance performances and a school of over 440 students and 50 faculty members, at Duke University in Durham, NC. During the 2008 Season, the ADF will present works by established as well as mid-career and emerging choreographers representing historical pieces, new commissions, and the international dance explosion celebrating the past, present, and future of modern dance. This special anniversary will highlight the endless possibilities that make up this creative art form and the spirit of modern dance from its origins as an experimental indigenous American art form to its expansive role in the global arts scene.
