Co-presented by ADF and the Nasher Museum of Art at Duke University, Come Jump With Me is a daring, provocative, and witty work that examines the relevancy and significance of creating art in the urgent political reality of Israel. In the explosive political and social reality, this work indeed pushes the limits and “plays with fire,” both literally and visually.
This performance contains adult subject matter.
ADF support for these performances provided by Israel’s Office of Cultural Affairs in North America, The Consulate General of Israel to the Southeast Region, and The Israel Center of the Jewish Federation of Durham-Chapel Hill
Yossi Berg and Oded Graf Dance Theatre is a freelance, project-based company that premieres one to two works by its directors each year. The choreographers’ unique style incorporates physical movement, text, vocal work, and conceptual research that supports and expresses the theme of each production. For each creation, the company invites different artists including performers, musicians, and set and costume designers to participate in a collaborative process. The company’s repertory features a variety of works ranging from short pieces to full-length evenings, and the number of performers varies from show to show.
Yossi and Oded are also invited as guest choreographers to create for other dance companies and opera houses. These productions typically include ten or more performers.
