In honor of the ADF, Pleiades Gallery presents “AFD – Art For Dancers: Movement, Rhythm, and Form” through which member artists explore themes common to visual and performing arts. Art forms represented in the show include painting, photography, metal sculpture, ceramic sculpture, and metal-worked jewelry.

The event will feature a site-specific improvisational dance performance by ADF students from the gallery to the adjacent Five Points Plaza, a presentation by esteemed dance choreographer Ishmael Houston-Jones on the relationship between modern dance and contemporary visual art, and a one-night-only showing of a selection of ADF performance poster art through the years. 

Pleiades Gallery will also host an Opening Reception on Friday, June 21, 6-9pm.
