The ADF production team and interns are hard at work making sure the dancers’ bones and joints are safe and sound while working up a sweat this summer. This process takes two full days to conquer and is just the beginning for all of the production crew. Every summer, they are the backbone to each dance presented at the ADF and help create the magic made possible with theater arts.

At the end of each summer as the students, faculty, and performing companies bid a fond farewell to ADF, the administration staff returns to their home-base on Broad Street where they call home for 10 months of the year. Immediately the brainstorming for each upcoming season begins – choosing a theme, reviewing companies, accepting students and interns – and what seems like a minute later the summer returns for another great Festival! On May 25th in the 95 degree weather, boxes were packed at the Broad Street location and headed over to Epworth dormitory on Duke University’s East Campus. For 6 ½ weeks, the ADF administration team resides in Epworth as our summer home away from home!
