2017 ADF SEASON (June 15 – July 29)
CAST DINNER HOSTS
Host a post-performance dinner for visiting dance companies. Nourish our artists and throw a great party on your own or with friends.
Assist ADF staff with special dinners, events, and parties. Volunteers may help with decorations, set-up and break down, sending invitations, food service, and more.
With ADF students and performers representing over 40 countries, we need volunteers fluent in multiple languages to translate at tech rehearsals, in press interviews, for the school office, and more.
MARKETING (Late April – early June)
Distribute promotional materials (season brochures, posters, postcards, etc.) to local merchants, libraries, bars, restaurants, public bulletin boards, and more.
Sell ADF merchandise at theaters before and during intermission of performances. All proceeds support ADF tuition scholarships.
ADF’S SHS STUDIOS
Provide office coverage and serve as point of contact for studio related needs when ADF staff is not available.
HOST AN ADF FACULTY MEMBER
ADF brings in over 50 faculty members each summer to teach in our world-renowned school. Please consider hosting (free of charge) a dedicated faculty member this summer for 3 or 6 weeks in June and July.
Pick-up and drop-off faculty, international choreographers, performing artists, and VIPS at the airport and transport them to Duke’s East Campus.
USHERS (Not included in ticket incentive program)
ADF utilizes Durham Convention & Visitor’s Bureau’s Wayfinders to schedule ushers. If you would like to usher for ADF this season, please use this link to create your account with Wayfinders: http://www.durham-nc.com/about/wayfinders/. Ushers must attend a brief training and scheduling session prior to the start of the festival.
