Drop-In Classes
June 18, 2013, 6:00 pm - 7:15 pm
Instructor: Carol Parker
This Pilates class is a unique blend of Pilates, Yoga and dance exercises designed as a gentle, refreshing mind-body workout that emphasizes proper breathing, correct spinal and pelvic alignment, and concentration on smooth, flowing movements to become acutely in tune with your body. The quality of movement is valued over quantity of repetitions. You will learn how to strengthen your core or center of the body, gain long, lean muscles and flexibility, and how to move efficiently. Many of the exercises are performed in reclining or sitting positions, and most are low impact and partially weight bearing. This class is a safe, gentle, yet challenging way to an evenly conditioned body. *Materials needed: Yoga Mat (if you do not own a yoga mat, bring a towel) Register
