Kara Davis is a participant in the Hollins University/American Dance Festival MFA program. A resident of San Francisco, she graduates this year from the Low Residency Track, which has allowed her to continue her work as a dancer and educator while pursuing her degree.
In today’s 80 Faces, Ms. Davis discusses her thesis, which was presented last week as part of the MFA performances, and the impact the MFA program has had on her understanding of dance practice.
The MFA performances continue throughout this week and are free and open to the public. Thesis projects will be presented at several locations throughout Duke University. Please visit the ADF website for more information.
